Welcome to the DL Student Resources Website!
The DL Student Resources website provides how-to documents, videos, and quick start guides to help you learn how to navigate in our learning management system, Moodle, and our email system, Waves Gmail. Click the tabs in the upper right-hand corner to navigate between pages. We hope you find this resource helpful. We will continue to post information throughout the semester, so visit often. Moodle and Waves Gmail Login Instructions
Moodle logins are as follows (curriculum and continuing education students):

Your username will be in this format: first initial of first name + middle initial (if on record) + last name + last four digits of your student ID number (ID# is found at the top of the registration sheet you were given) as in mdmoodle1234. If we do not have your middle initial, your username will consist of the first initial of your first name + last name + last four digits of your student ID number as in mmoodle1234.
Your password is your 8-digit birth date as in 01012000 (if your birthday were Jan. 1, 2000).
If you need help with Moodle, contact 24/7 Helpdesk Tech Support at 1-877-859-2661 (toll free) or the Distance Learning Office at 252-862-1250. Do not share your account information with anyone.
Waves Gmail logins are as follows (curriculum students):
Your full Waves Gmail address: moodleusername@waves.roanokechowan.edu as in mdmoodle1234@waves.roanokechowan.edu
The temporary password is your 8-digit birth date: 01012000 for January 1, 2000. You will be prompted to change your password to a more secure one either upon logging in for the first time or within 90 days.

Microsoft Office 365 (curriculum students only)
Faculty and curriculum students are able to access Microsoft Office 365 using their Waves Gmail account credentials. After you click on the Microsoft Office 365 link below, enter your Waves address and click on the blue "Get Started" button on the Microsoft page. Follow the steps to access the program. If you experience any issues, please refer to our "Setting Up Microsoft Office 365" directions or contact IT staff at 252-862-1206.
Brainfuse Free Online Tutoring (curriculum students)
Check out the Brainfuse website by clicking the link below. The platform provides free online tutoring in any subject. To access Brainfuse without logging in, click on the Welcome & Meet the Instructor or Tutoring & Support sections of your Moodle courses and then click the Brainfuse tool. The link will connect you directly to the platform to request tutoring.
